I've been searching for a hair tutorial like this everywhere! I've tried SO many different methods, but I'm not good enough with photoshop yet for them to turn out right. I'm pretty good with the pen tool, though, so I'm going to try this and see how it turns out. Thanks so much! ^_^

P.S. I didn't look at when this was posted, so sorry if I've commented on something really old ^_^

this is really nice, but if I may ask, how did you do the gradient part? I didn't get it :( thanks

If you're using photoshop- create a path with the pen tool > right click > create merge > go to gradient tool > I usually pick a round transparent gradient > fill the merge :)

What makes this vexel rather than vector ?

I am still tryin to grasp the difference between vexel and vector.

Where do you go to simulate pressure for the brush part?
Reply
:iconjussta:
jussta Featured By Owner Oct 28, 2008  Professional Digital Artist
You chose brush, right click- stroke path- and there's a box under, simulate pressure. You must click on it :)

my problem is, I do the whole simulate pressure and it doesn't change how the line looks. It's completely solid. What could I be doing wrong?

Maybe try to restart the brushes to default?

I'm not getting any particular fadiness at the end of the paths. I just get a rounded tip. I have stimulate pressure checked--Is there smething I'm missing?
