Love is... Vexel contestAbout the contest
It's all about LOVE and what it is for YOU. Is it your boyfriend, wife, dog, playstation? Or maybe an old CD album? Whatever LOVE IS... to you I want to see it!
Rules

2. If you're using any kind of stock please credit all artists.
3. You can enter as many times as you wish but you can only win once.
4. To add a little twist you must use ONE of these colour palettes, that means no adding extra colours or mixing two or more palettes (you can use different opacities and gradients of course):

The New Vexel Definition1. Vexels- what are they?
Vexels are layered raster shapes of solid colour or gradients/ solid shapes/ raster shapes with look of vector.
The word 'vexel' is a mix of words 'vector' and 'pixel'.
2. The difference between vexels and vectors
The most important difference is that vexels are created using raster layers while vectors are created using vector layers.
Rasters are based on pixels (little squares) and each square is given a fixed colour. When you expand it you can see pixelation.
Shapes created using vector layers while expanding stay crisp and don't lose their quality.
Let me explain the difference on this example.

The image above is a vector. When expanding it to 300% it will still stay sharp:

If the same image was created on raster layers it would look blurry after expanding to 300%:

3. What is allowed and what's not when creating vexel art

Imagine that you can go back to those awesome times by creating a cover of your favourite book.
Rules
1. All works MUST be vexels. I will NOT accept any photos, photomaniplations, digital drawings, vectors etc. If you're unsure if your entry is a vexel please follow this link: The New Vexel Definition to find out what vexels are.
2. You can NOT trace/copy an existing cover.
3. You can use your own and/or DA stock, as long as you state in art's comment that photos used as stock were yours and/or made by other deviantArt artist.
4. Don't break any DA rules.
5. You can add title/author/any needed text that can be found on covers, it's all up to you!
6. Please include author's name and book's title in your entry's description. This means it has to be an existing

Theme
What's your favourite thing about DeviantArt? It's a pretty open theme and it's up to your interpretation :)

Vexel 50's pinup contest

Objective
