Well, my name in ibrahim amr, I’m 23 years old and I was born and raised in Egypt, i graduated from the faculty of fine arts majored in animation and book illustration. My passion has always been drawing and painting since i was a child. i tend to live in my own world of imagination which helps me to design and create art!
2. How long have you been making vexels/vectors?
I started Vexels/vectors since 2008 so it's was like 3 years ago, and actually i came upon vector art from deviant art i was so amazed by how someone could create so many layers of colors in one piece!
3. What are your vexel/vector goals for the future?
My vexel/vector goals are is to make my own vexel comic book with my own ideas and characters and hopefully if i cloud improve my self more i could make my own studio and teach others.
4. What other mediums you feel good with/would like to try?
My main tools/programs that i always use are paper, Photoshop CS8, coral draw & illustrator but mostly Photoshop.
I would like to learn how to use 3D media.
5. Are there any artists you admire?
My idols have always been Jacques-Louis David, Bernini & Franz Xaver Winterhalter.
i have always been admired by there talent in capturing the essence of beauty.
6. And last but not least- do you have any tips for vexel art beginners?
For all the vexel art beginners, vexel art is not complicated at all, all you need is to practice and practice, for all beginners start with easy objects like still life try to vexel an apple for an example then try to add another object to it, then a background and so one,
Sometimes the hardest part of drawing is not actually the drawing part. If you free yourself of subject matter, you may have a much easier time with the technicalities of drawing and always be patient, and i always recommend the main tool is Photoshop but if you used illustrator it gets to be a vector not a a vexel.
You could always check out tutorials they are so helpful and they helped me a lot, and good luck to all!!
